Tom Penny is a professional skateboarder from Abingdon in the UK. He was born on the 13th of April in 1977, and he and his pals quickly took to skating. Before moving to the United States and joining Flip Skateboards in 1994, he had been sponsored by Deathbox Skateboards in the early 1990s. Tom's sponsors have included: Flip Skateboards, Etnies Shoes, Supra Footwear, Krux Trucks, Spitfire Wheels, and Fury Skateboard Bearings. With his casual attitude and smooth skating, he has been featured in numerous skate vids and is considered to be one of the greatest street skaters of all time.

Tom Penny's incredible feats, such as his switch frontside flip at the Carlsbad Gap and his backside tailslide on a nine-stair handrail, have all had an impact on the sport of skateboarding. Daewon Song, Rodney Mullen, Danny Way, Chad Muska, and Steve Caballero are merely a few of the skateboarders he has influenced.
