Steve Caballero, born on November 8, 1964, is an American professional skateboarder who has left an indelible mark on the skateboarding world.

Hi is renowned for inventing difficult tricks and air variations specifically designed for vertical skating.

Cab holds the long-standing record for achieving the highest air on a halfpipe.

In 1999, Thrasher Magazine bestowed on Steve Cab the title of "Skater of the Century.".

Steve Caballero was born in San Jose, California, and he began skating at the age of 12 in 1976.

At the age of 14, he became a professional skateboarder sponsored by Powell Peralta.

Caballero is credited with inventing the ‘Caballerial’), a skateboarding trick involving a fakie 360 aerial.

He also pioneered the frontside boardslide.

In 1987, Caballero achieved both street and vert titles at the World Championships in Münster, Germany.

On September 7, 1987, he set a world record by executing an eleven-foot backside air on a half-pipe at the Raging Waters Ramp in San Jose, California.(Danny Way surpassed Caballero’s record in 1997.).

In 1999, he set another record for the longest board slide on a 44-step handrail.

Caballero is a member of the Bones Brigade, a legendary skate team made up of the main members (at the time) of Powell Peralta Skateboards.

His current sponsors include Powell Peralta, Bones Bearings, Independent Truck Company, Bones Wheels, Vans Skate Shoes, 187 killer pads, Merge4 socks, and Protec Helmets.

Throughout the 1980s, Caballero graced the cover of Thrasher Magazine multiple times.

He also appears as a playable character in several Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater video games.

He is also the guitarist for the legendary skate rock band The Faction, an American hardcore punk band from San Jose, California, who were pioneers of the skate punk era during the early 1980s.
Caballero featured prominently in Stacy Peralta’s 2012 documentary film, Bones Brigade: An Autobiography, alongside other skate legends.
