The band Article One was a Canadian Christian rock band hailing from London, Ontario. The group was formed in 2003 under the name “Appertain Display” and consisted of brothers Nathan Piché (lead vocals, guitar, piano, and keyboard), Matt Piché (violin, mandolin, vocals), and drummer/vocalist Dave DeSmit. Later on, they changed their name to “Article One” in honor of the first article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which emphasizes the equality and dignity of all human beings. The band’s music blended Christian rock, pop rock, and contemporary Christian music (CCM). They released several albums, including “AO,” “Colors And Sounds,” and “Clarity.” Unfortunately, Article One disbanded in 2011 after amicably parting ways.
