🛹 Muckefuck Skateboards: A Core Legacy from the Alps

Nestled in the heart of the Austrian Alps, in the small Tyrolean town of Wörgl, a rebellious and creative force was born in 2005—Muckefuck Skateboards. Founded by Roman Astleitner with the support of Marco Pilotto, owner of the legendary Pilotto Shop, Muckefuck emerged not just as a brand, but as a movement deeply rooted in the DIY ethos and raw spirit of skateboarding.

🌄 Origins: From Wörgl to the World

Roman and Marco weren’t just launching a company—they were igniting a cultural flame. Over two decades, they became pillars of the Austrian skate scene, organizing events like the “King of the Ramp” contest (2004–2008), and building iconic skate structures such as the “Bones Ramp” in Kufstein and the Wörgl DIY park, which became one of Europe’s largest ongoing concrete DIY skateparks.

🎨 Notable Achievements & Artistic Flair

In 2011, Muckefuck expanded its vision globally with the launch of Muckefuck URETHANE, a wheel brand that quickly gained traction. With over 200 unique designs crafted by artists from around the world—including Ferdz Valencia (Philippines), Julien Fincker (Germany), Lukas Goller and Davide Ceccarelli (Italy)—Muckefuck became known for its bold graphics and unapologetic style.

Their commitment to creativity and authenticity made them a standout in the skateboarding world. They weren’t just selling gear—they were selling attitude, art, and a lifestyle.

🧑🎤 Sponsored Riders & Global Reach

Muckefuck didn’t just build ramps and design wheels—they built a team. With over 50 riders from across the globe, their roster included heavy hitters who embodied the brand’s raw energy. Their 2015 team edit showcased this beautifully: no slow-mo, no drones—just pure, fast, gritty skateboarding across every terrain imaginable.

🛠️ Challenges & Comeback

Like many core skate brands, Muckefuck faced turbulence. The closure of the Pilotto Shop just before the COVID-19 pandemic marked a quiet period for the company. But skateboarding, like punk rock, never dies—it just waits for the next drop-in.

Enter Black Heaven Skateshop, founded in 2009 in Münster, Germany. In 2019, they expanded into distribution and began supporting underground brands and zines like KOLOSS, Death by Coffee, Witchcraft Hardware, and Confusion Magazine. In 2024, Black Heaven joined forces with Muckefuck to resurrect the brand and bring it back to its roots—core, creative, and rider-driven.
