Sabre didn’t just enter the market—they disrupted it. From the beginning, they focused on precision engineering, using techniques like cold forging and CNC machining to create trucks that were lighter, stronger, and more responsive than traditional cast models. They were the first to introduce:
Fully forged longboard trucks
Hollow axles and kingpins in cast trucks
Aftermarket bushings and pivot cups as standard
Adjustable wheelbase baseplates with eight-hole drilling
Tall 16mm bushings top and bottom for better lean and rebound
“Street” trucks designed specifically for longboarding, with slacker geometry and multi-hole baseplates
These weren’t just tweaks—they were paradigm shifts. Sabre’s trucks quickly became known for their fluid turning, dead-straight axles, and custom bushing setups that gave riders unparalleled control.
Sabre has always had a strong connection to the skating community. They’ve sponsored a team of riders who help push the boundaries of what their trucks can do—technically and creatively. While they don’t chase big-name celebrity endorsements, their riders are deeply embedded in the longboarding scene, often appearing at events like the Bristol Board Meeting, a charity skate from Bath to Bristol that Sabre regularly supports alongside other UK-based brands.
Their ethos is clear: support real skaters doing real things.
Fast forward to today, and Sabre is still going strong. They’ve recently launched the Forged Precision MK3 trucks, which feature:
Aircraft-grade 6061-T6 cold-forged hangers
CNC-turned EN-24T steel axle studs with micron-level precision
Custom urethane pivot cups for ultra-smooth turning
Flipable hangers for adjustable rake
Premium bushings poured in the USA to Sabre’s own specs
They’re also expanding their lineup with street trucks in multiple widths, designed for standard decks but built with the same obsessive attention to detail.
