Tracker Trucks was founded in 1975 by a trio of skateboarders: Dave Dominy, Larry Balma, and Gary Dodds.

In 1975, Tracker introduced the Fultrack, which was the world’s first truck specifically designed for skateboarding. The Fultrack featured a wide 4 ¼-inch hangar, a 7-inch axle, and innovative features like a fixed kingpin, a four-hole mounting pattern, and aircraft-grade locknuts. It quickly made the weak, narrow roller skate trucks of that era obsolete.

Tracker didn’t stop at the Fultrack Skateboard Truck. They continued to innovate and pioneer various products:

Tracker Trucks became the largest producer of skateboard trucks for the next 15 years, and their impact is still felt today, as most skateboard trucks resemble the original Tracker Fultrack.

Dave Dominy went on to apply his innovative designs to sailboards, while Gary Dodds created a custom-molding business. Larry Balma, co-founder of TransWorld Media, continues to produce Tracker Trucks and other skateboard brands.
