About Adidas Skateboarding

Adidas Skateboarding began its journey in 1989, when the company established a dedicated section specifically for skateboarding. Since then, they’ve been crafting skate shoes that blend style, durability, and performance.

Samba Influence: In the 1990s, skateboarders discovered the iconic Adidas Samba Silhouette. It became a common choice in skate parks and skate fashion. However, in 2006, Adidas introduced its own dedicated skate shoe, the Busenitz, which drew inspiration from the Samba.

Busenitz Shoes: Inspired by classic football shoes, the Busenitz combines style and functionality for skateboarding.

Superstar ADV Shoes: A remodel of the iconic Superstar, optimized for skateboarding

Samba ADV x Kader Shoes: A skate version of the timeless Samba Silhouette

Tyshawn Shoes: Designed in collaboration with pro skater Tyshawn Jones

The adidas Skateboarding team plays a crucial role in shaping the brand's skate shoes. They collaborate with renowned skaters such as Mark Gonzales, Dennis Busenitz, Benny Fairfax, and Lucas Puig to create high-performance footwear that meets the demands of skateboarding.

With over eighty years of experience in producing sport-specific footwear, adidas combines classic silhouettes, colorways, and materials to deliver shoes fit for purpose on the streets and ramps.

  • Over the years, Adidas has continued to evolve its skate shoe technology, incorporating elements like BOOST, Primeknit, and AdiPrene.
  • Their commitment to skateboarding extends beyond footwear, with a range of apparel designed for skaters.

So whether you're hitting the vert, grinding rails, or just cruising, Adidas Skateboarding has you covered!
