Great Skateboarding Cities of the Summer: New York City Skate Video Feature

"Hot time, summer in the city—and no city is hotter than New York City. Long days, warm nights, and spots for days. Filmmaker Mike Sassano followed a big mix of the city's current skate rats from borough to borough to bring us this epic edit.

We also linked up with Steve Rodriguez, veteran NYC skater and the man behind many of the incredible events over the years (Back to the Banks, Harold Hunter Day, Go Skateboarding Day) and the guy behind bringing back the Brooklyn Banks! Steve, his son Shiki and Ari Misurelli hit spots that Steve's been skating since his own teenage years. The spots, the summer—New York City is timeless."

"Cool video! Please do more like this in other cities around USA!"

"That scene at 0:08, the angle, the setting, the lighting, the tre flip. Pure art!"

"Staten Island in NYC has just as many spots as any other borough but since it’s harder to get around on public transportation no one bothers to look for them. They are the most unique, and untouched which is hard to say about the many overblown spots in this video."
